How to turn things gold to make trophies etc in GIMP
There's a very simple way to turn images into gold effect images using GIMP. Load up the image you want to turn golden.
Click on Colors, then Colorize.
Adjust the first level to between 40 and 45. This sets the base level to get a golden effect.
Then adjust the second level until you are happy with the shade of gold.
Finally adjust the brightness level to get the desired effect.
